Neck Pain

Ignorance is definitely not bliss and hence not recommended

Neck pain is a condition that could be attributed to many causes and often it is virtually impossible to identify the exact cause of pain. Reasons for neck pain could range from road traffic accident, fall and trauma to minor disc bulges or arthritis in facet joints. These usually heal quickly through simple treatment methodology involving painkillers, rest and physiotherapy. However, at times neck pain could also occur due to some rare but serious reasons like infection, large disc bulges compressing spinal cord, vertebral fracture or tumour and these require more attention.

Being a specialist I determine the treatment option only after having assessed and examined you, having delved into your medical history and conducting further investigation if necessary. Preferred treatment option or a treatment plan is chalked out depending on the diagnosis and its duration could range from a few days to several months. Injection treatments in pain clinic are more likely to help if the pain is localised rather than diffused over a larger area..
